What is a Dialogue List (DIA-L)?

A Dialogue List is a timecoded post-production script that is a required deliverable when a producer submits to a network or a production company as part of their distribution package.

It could have slightly different formats, but, as the name says, it mainly lists all spoken dialogue.


What is a DIA-L used for?

It is used for translation purposes to create a Spotting List (the subtitle file) for foreign languages.
